Buenos Aires hosts International Emmy Awards semifinal round

Buenos Aires has hosted a semifinal round of the International Emmy Awards for the third consecutive year. The event, held on August 21 at the Marriott Hotel, served as a selection stage for international television productions.

Organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the session involved a jury of 13 prominent Argentine audiovisual professionals, including executives, producers, screenwriters, directors, and actors. These specialists evaluated international content across various categories such as Comedy, Drama, Documentary, Arts Programming, and Non-Scripted Entertainment.

The hosting of this round was supported by the Buenos Aires Film Commission and the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires. According to Carolina Cordero, General Director of the Buenos Aires Film Commission, the recurring event strengthens the city's institutional ties with the Academy and highlights the international standing and creative talent of the local audiovisual industry.
