Buenos Aires launches $1.5 million tourism circuit competition
The Buenos Aires City Economic and Social Council (CESBA), together with the city tourism agency Entur, the hospitality association AHRCC and the platform Civitatis, announced the "Otra vuelta, Buenos Aires" competition. Four winning projects will each receive AR$1.5 million and audiovisual production to promote the routes.
The call for proposals runs from 3 August to 18 August 2026 and is open to residents of the Greater Buenos Aires area who hold relevant academic qualifications. Participants may submit individually or in teams of up to five, and must choose one of four thematic axes: gastronomy and culinary culture, sport and cultural events, art and local culture, or history and heritage. The aim is to diversify the city’s tourist map beyond traditional neighborhoods, attract longer stays, boost local economies and create jobs.
CESBA president Manuel Socías said the initiative seeks to encourage tourists to spend an extra night in the capital, while Entur president Valentín Díaz Gilligan highlighted the partnership with the private sector to expand and innovate the tourism offer.
