Buenos Aires Legislature calls public hearing for neighborhood club regularization
The Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires has called for a public hearing on November 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM to discuss a proposed Special Regime for the Adaptation and Regularization of Neighborhood Clubs (Clubes de Barrio).
The initiative aims to simplify and accelerate the administrative, building, urban, and functional regularization of non-profit sports and community entities. The proposed law seeks to facilitate the progressive improvement of safety, hygiene, infrastructure, and self-protection conditions while accounting for the specific characteristics, age, and pre-existing conditions of each institution.
A central tenet of the proposal is to differentiate between formal or documentary non-compliance and violations that pose an actual risk to physical safety or health. The hearing will be held in a hybrid format, both in person at Perú 160 and via the institution's digital platform. Registration for interested parties opens on October 16.
