Buenos Aires Legislature debates neighborhood club regularization
The Buenos Aires Legislature has called for a public hearing on November 18 to debate a bill aimed at facilitating the administrative, structural, and urban regularization of neighborhood clubs and non-profit sports entities. The proposed law seeks to assist institutions registered in the Single Registry of Sports Institutions (RUID) in meeting current regulatory standards.
Key measures in the project include simplified procedures, the ability to present alternative documentation for background verification, and progressive plans for facility upgrades. To support these improvements, the initiative proposes access to preferential credit through Banco Ciudad to fund works and professional expenses. Additionally, the plan includes the potential condonation of fines and surcharges related to administrative non-compliance, as well as the suspension of certain closures and sanctions while institutions undergo the regularization process. However, these benefits will not apply to situations involving concrete risks to safety, health, or physical integrity.
