Buenos Aires municipal leaders meet to reform provincial security law

Municipal officials from the Fourth Electoral Section of Buenos Aires Province gathered in Chivilcoy for a regional forum on modernising the provincial Security Law 12.154. Participants, including Mayor Francisco Recoulat's delegate Martín Borrazás, discussed updating legal frameworks, improving coordination with police forces, and adopting new technologies to enhance crime‑prevention policies.

A concurrent discussion took place in Bolívar, where Mayor Maximiliano Wesner of Olavarría and other local leaders reviewed proposals for the law’s revision and introduced the “Tranquera Segura” programme. The initiative equips rural emergency stations with unique georeferenced IDs to speed police, ambulance and fire‑fighter response, showcasing a model already in use in Olavarría.
