Buenos Aires municipalities join gender violence support program

Various municipalities in the Province of Buenos Aires have joined the 'Programa de Fortalecimiento para la Salida de las Violencias de Género'. Led by Governor Axel Kicillof and Minister Estela Díaz, the initiative provides six months of direct economic assistance and specialized support to women and LGBTIQ+ individuals at risk of gender-based violence. Support includes job training, legal advice, mental health services, and housing assistance.

In addition to social programs, Governor Kicillof has been active in regional administration and political organization. He recently delivered security equipment, including 40 patrol vehicles and 10 motorcycles, to La Matanza while calling for increased national funding. He also conducted visits to the interior of the province to discuss economic planning for agriculture and industry.

Politically, Kicillof is strengthening the 'Movimiento Derecho al Futuro' (MDF). The movement is preparing for a major federal plenary in Avellaneda, which is viewed by supporters as a step toward building a national political presence. Meanwhile, municipal workers in Ituzaingó have staged protests demanding wage renegotiations and better working conditions after months without collective bargaining agreements.
