Buenos Aires municipalities support local sports clubs and cooperative production space
The Quilmes municipal government and the Fundación Banco Provincia handed over equipment and supplies to five neighborhood clubs as part of the "Clubes en Forma" program. The delivery, attended by interim mayor Eva Mieri, provided paint, training shirts, balls, cones and other items to improve club facilities ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
In the nearby town of Burzaco, interim mayor Juan Fabiani and community leader Mariano Cascallares inaugurated the Cooperative "Cactus" space. The centre will offer production, training and commercialization facilities, emphasizing recycling, material reuse and social‑economy principles. The opening coincided with World Environment Day and was attended by local officials and representatives of CONARCOOP and FUNCAT.
