Global law enforcement conducts various crime and drug operations
Law enforcement agencies across Spain, Argentina, Chile, Italy, and Uruguay have conducted various operations targeting theft, drug trafficking, and fraud.
In Spain, the Guardia Civil recovered stolen jewelry in Almería and arrested six people in Arteixo for drug trafficking. They also detained three individuals for stealing copper cabling in Fines and Olula del Río. In Italy, the Carabinieri arrested 13 people in Rome’s Quarticciolo district during a drug bust and dismantled a Naples-based organization that defrauded elderly citizens using fake police identities.
In Chile, a retired Carabineros officer shot and wounded a thief during a robbery in Puente Alto. Additionally, authorities dismantled a drug ring in Valdivia and arrested a suspect for an armed robbery in Graneros. In Argentina, police in La Plata arrested three 18-year-olds for motorcycle theft, while in Santa Fe, a man was detained for vehicle fraud. Other incidents included a woman crashing into a police vehicle in San Francisco Solano and a conviction for drug sales in Cerrillos.
In Uruguay, police investigated a major theft at a construction site in Montevideo and detained teenagers following disturbances at a local market.
