Buenos Aires political forum unites La Libertad Avanza and PRO against abortion and sex education

A conservative forum titled “Libertad para el Futuro: una agenda política por la natalidad y la protección de la infancia” was held on 23 July in the Buenos Aires City Legislature. Representatives of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) and the PRO party, together with city officials, argued for policies to raise the birth rate, repeal the Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy law and curb the Education Sexual Integral (ESI) program.

Key speakers included Clara Muzzio, Vice‑Chief of Government of Buenos Aires, who warned that “one in three children is aborted” and noted that city residents adopt more dogs than have children under ten. Former vice‑president Gabriela Michetti, Senator Carmen Álvarez Rivero, deputies Santiago Santurio and Joaquín Ojeda, and Development Minister Gabriel Mraida also participated, stressing the need to strengthen family ties and protect children.

The event reflected a coordinated conservative agenda linking abortion, sex education and demographic concerns.
