Argentina boosts school infrastructure with new facilities and maintenance measures

Provincial education authorities in Argentina have undertaken several infrastructure projects to improve school conditions. In Santa Cruz, the regional education council delivered sanitary modules, water‑system repairs and heating equipment to Primary School No 64 in Caleta Olivia after severe weather damage. In Buenos Aires, the provincial Ministry of Education completed the installation of 1,800 ventilation fans across schools, including 38 fans at School No 240 Manuel Lainez, and carried out plumbing and sanitation work. Lawmakers have also called for a permanent preventive‑maintenance system to guarantee 180 days of classes, urging the government to shift from reactive repairs to coordinated, documented upkeep of school facilities.

These actions aim to ensure safe, functional learning environments and to address recurring infrastructure challenges that affect thousands of students across the country.
