Buenos Aires Province adds 1,793 medical professionals to public health system

The Ministry of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires has integrated 1,793 new residents and pre-residents into the public healthcare system following the ERES Bonaerense residency exam. This initiative aims to strengthen public health services by providing specialized training while simultaneously increasing medical assistance for the population.

In Sanitary Region VI, 367 professionals were added to various hospitals and health centers, including facilities in Florencio Varela, Avellaneda, Quilmes, Berazategui, Lanús, and Lomas de Zamora. Key locations receiving staff include Hospital Mi Pueblo, Hospital Fiorito, and Hospital Iriarte, among others.

In Sanitary Region IX, 36 professionals joined establishments in Olavarría and Azul. In Olavarría, staff were assigned to the Hospital Municipal ‘Dr. Héctor Miguel Cura’ and CAPS N° 7 ‘Independencia’, covering specialties such as cardiology, surgery, and pediatrics. In Azul, new professionals joined the Hospital Pediátrico ‘Argentina Diego’ and Hospital Municipal Base ‘Dr. Ángel Pintos’, focusing on areas like neonatology and obstetrics.

Health Minister Nicolás Kreplak stated that incorporating residents is an investment in the future of public health, noting that these professionals provide essential care while completing their training.
