Buenos Aires Province adds four patrol vans to Luján police force

Four brand‑new Volkswagen Amarok patrol vans were delivered to the police of Luján, a district in Buenos Aires Province, as part of the "Luján Alerta 24" public security plan. The vehicles will be used for preventive patrols, emergency response and support of local operations, bringing the total number of new‑arrival patrol units in the district to sixteen.

The hand‑over ceremony was attended by Governor Axel Kicillof, provincial Security Minister Javier Alonso and Luján Mayor Leonardo Boto. Officials said the addition aims to expand police presence, shorten response times and improve territorial coverage, though security experts noted that effectiveness also depends on staffing, planning and coordination with other tools.
