Buenos Aires Province increases tolls on major highways

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services of the Province of Buenos Aires has authorized a series of toll increases for roads managed by Autopistas de Buenos Aires S.A. (AUBASA). These adjustments affect several key corridors, including the routes to the Atlantic Coast and the Buenos Aires-La Plata highway.

For the Atlantic Coast routes (Routes 2, 11, and 74), tolls have increased by approximately 8.8% to 8.9%. For category 1 vehicles, tolls at Samborombón, Maipú, and La Huella are now $8,600, while Mar Chiquita is $4,000 and General Madariaga is $3,600.

The Buenos Aires-La Plata highway and Route 6 are also seeing an 8.3% increase. For two-axle vehicles, the Hudson toll station will charge $5,200 when traveling toward Buenos Aires during non-peak hours and $2,600 when traveling toward La Plata. Tolls for the Quilmes-Berazategui-Bernal stretch have risen from $1,700 to $1,900.

These updates follow a quarterly adjustment mechanism based on the Tariff Variation Coefficient (CVT). This calculation incorporates 55% of the Registered Wage Index, 25% of the Wholesale Price Index (IPIM), and 20% of the Consumer Price Index (IPC), all provided by INDEC.
