Buenos Aires province increases VTV vehicle inspection fees

The Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV) fees in the province of Buenos Aires have increased following Resolution N° 361-MTRAGP-2026. As of October 15, 2026, the basic rate for light vehicles (up to 2,500 kg) rose to $114,105.99 including VAT, up from the previous rate of $97,057.65.

This adjustment represents a 17.6% increase after a 90-day freeze. For the year 2026, the cumulative increase for these inspections has reached approximately 43%, significantly outpacing the official inflation rate of 23.6% reported by INDEC. The new pricing structure is linked to 7% of the basic salary of a sector operator.

Updated costs for other categories include $45,614 for motorcycles and $205,264 for vehicles exceeding 2,500 kg. The fee must be paid at the time of inspection, regardless of when the appointment was scheduled. The inspection continues to cover essential safety components such as brakes, lights, steering, suspension, tires, and gas emissions.
