Buenos Aires province raises tolls on major routes by 6.7%

The government of Buenos Aires Province approved a 6.71% increase in tolls on the Sistema Vial Integrado del Atlántico (SVIA) and the Buenos Aires‑La Plata highway, effective from the first weekend of July 2026, just before the winter vacation period. The hike was enacted through Resolution 544/2026 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services and follows the quarterly update mechanism based on the Coeficiente de Variación Tarifaria (55 % salaries index, 25 % wholesale price index, 20 % consumer price index).

For category‑1 cars, the new tariffs are $7,900 at Samborombón, Maipú and La Huella, $3,700 at Mar Chiquita and $3,300 at General Madariaga. TelePASE users pay slightly lower rates of $7,856.80, $3,614.12 and $3,299.84 respectively. On the Buenos Aires‑La Plata highway, the Hudson toll for a one‑way trip now costs $6,000, with return trips totaling $11,200–$12,000 depending on peak‑hour surcharges.

The additional revenue is earmarked for ongoing road works, including repavement of Ruta 2, expansion of the Buenos Aires‑La Plata highway, new connections near City Bell, and other infrastructure improvements across the concession network.
