Buenos Aires Province unveils projects for water, transport and renewable energy
The Observatory of Works and Public Services of Buenos Aires Province convened a meeting to examine infrastructure projects aimed at improving rural roads, water management in Ayacucho, the Zárate–Pilar rail‑logistic corridor and the expansion of renewable energy generation. Participants exchanged technical and territorial inputs to strengthen the Provincial Strategic Infrastructure Plan (PEI).
Key proposals included the "Blue Deal" – a cooperation between the municipality of Ayacucho, the provincial water authority (ADA) and the Dutch Water Authority to enhance water governance and resilience across six districts. Another presentation, the Enlace Multitrocha Pilar–Zárate project, seeks to integrate Mitre, Belgrano, San Martín and Urquiza railway lines with road and river transport to cut logistics costs and boost export competitiveness. The session also highlighted renewable‑energy initiatives to increase provincial generation capacity.
