Buenos Aires regulates investment incentive regime

The Government of the City of Buenos Aires has regulated the Incentive Regime for Medium Investments (RIMICABA), established under Law 6.950. The measure, formalized via Decree 305/26 and signed by Chief of Government Jorge Macri, aims to promote both national and foreign productive investments through fiscal benefits and financing mechanisms.

Under the new regulations, qualifying properties may receive exemptions from Property Tax and the Lighting, Sweeping, and Cleaning Service Tax (ABL) for buildings constructed as a result of investments made under the RIMICABA framework. The Ministry of Economic Development will serve as the application authority, overseeing the registration, evaluation, approval, and monitoring of projects.

The initiative aligns with the national Incentive Regime for Medium Investments (RIMI) and seeks to strengthen economic development, enhance competitiveness across various productive sectors, increase exports, and foster job creation.
