Buenos Aires rolls out rich July cultural agenda

Buenos Aires is promoting a diverse winter cultural program for July. Highlights include the ballet *Alice in Wonderland* by the Royal Danish Ballet and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic at the Teatro Colón, the traditional Rural Exhibition (July 16‑26) with over 4,500 animal exhibitors and 400 commercial stalls, and a 20th edition of the food fair “Caminos y Sabores” (July 9‑12). The city also marks the 25th anniversary of MALBA with new shows, offers free entry to the National Fine Arts Museum, stages new theater productions on Corrientes Avenue, and runs the Winter Festival (July 18‑August 2) with free family activities.

The Argentine Ministry of Culture’s “Música en julio” series adds a musical dimension, featuring the Juan de Dios Filiberto National Orchestra and the National Choir of Argentine Music in concerts that blend Baroque tributes to Domenico Zipoli with contemporary works by Alex Nante. Performances are staged at the Centro Cultural Kirchner and are offered with free or low‑cost admission, underscoring the government’s aim to keep high‑quality cultural events accessible.
