Buenos Aires seeks to declare June as ‘Mes Salamone’

Provincial Senator Inés Laurini has introduced a bill in the Buenos Aires Province Legislature to designate June as ‘Mes Salamone’ (Salamone Month) every year. The proposal originated from technical work conducted by the Francisco Salamone Interpretation Center in Azul, directed by Karina Ruiz.

The initiative aims to establish a public policy to promote, disseminate, and value the architectural and engineering legacy of Francisco Salamone throughout the province. Under the proposal, the province would promote cultural, patrimonial, and tourism activities linked to his work during the month of June, fostering coordination between municipalities that house his constructions and dedicated interpretation centers.

The Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires would serve as the applying authority, coordinating with tourism agencies and providing technical support to municipal and institutional proposals related to Salamone's heritage.
