Buenos Aires to host 35th Pride March amid political tension

The 35th Pride March is scheduled to take place in Buenos Aires on November 7, 2026. The event aims to advocate for LGBT+ rights and visibility, following a period of political tension regarding equality and respect for the community.

This year’s theme, “When hate advances, pride in the streets is resistance,” reflects concerns over official discourses that activists claim represent a setback for diversity rights. The march will conclude with a festival featuring musical performances by artists including María Becerra, La Joaqui, Six Sex, and K4OS.

Political organizers, including legislator Vanina Biasi of the Partido Obrero, have framed the mobilization as a protest against the government of President Javier Milei. Activists have criticized the administration for policies they claim target gender identity laws, comprehensive sexual education, and legal abortion, while also noting a reported increase in hate crimes.
