Buenos Aires to tender Route 11 duplication works

The Province of Buenos Aires will launch a tender in September to duplicate the section of Route 11 connecting Mar de Ajó and Pinamar. This project is part of a broader initiative by Governor Axel Kicillof and Infrastructure Minister Gabriel Katopodis to transform the entire route into a highway to improve safety and tourism along the Atlantic Coast.

Currently, roadworks are progressing on the 80-kilometer stretch between Mar Chiquita and Villa Gesell. One sector is 98% complete, pending an expropriation issue near Mar Chiquita, while the second sector near Villa Gesell has reached 88% execution. The provincial government aims to have these sections operational before the upcoming summer season.
