South American regions face storms and temperature shifts

Various regions in South America are experiencing significant meteorological shifts, characterized by instability, rainfall, and temperature fluctuations.

In Argentina, Tucumán is facing a mix of storms, rain, and potential light snow in mountainous areas above 2,500 meters. A notable temperature drop is expected toward the weekend. In the Buenos Aires metropolitan area (AMBA), weather patterns include rising temperatures followed by light rain and increased humidity, with a cold front expected to bring lower temperatures by the weekend.

In Chile, the central zone from Coquimbo to Maule is experiencing atmospheric instability due to an upper-level trough, leading to electrical storms and isolated showers, particularly in valley and pre-cordilleran sectors. Santiago is also seeing a return of precipitation with cloudy skies and light showers expected throughout the week, accompanied by a slight decrease in maximum temperatures.
