Judicial data from Buenos Ayres Province shows an average of 300 gender‑based violence complaints are filed each day, amounting to 109,280 victims in 2025. Women and girls represent roughly three‑quarters of those affected, with the 30‑50 age group accounting for the largest share. The reported cases include 19,632 sexual abuse complaints, among them 1,678 rapes, and a rise in domestic assaults that now constitute about 14% of all preliminary criminal investigations in the province.

A vivid illustration of the crisis emerged in Olavarría, where a woman identified as Noelía Soledad Louge described a violent attack by her ex‑partner after his release from a one‑year gender‑based violence sentence. The assault left Louge unconscious, injured one of her 11‑year‑old daughters, and resulted in the home being set on fire. The victim was hospitalized, and the incident has heightened public calls for stronger protective measures.
