Bäuerinnen Niederösterreich celebrates 50 years of agricultural advocacy

The organization Bäuerinnen Niederösterreich (Farmers Women of Lower Austria) marked its 50th anniversary with a commemorative ceremony at the Lower Austria Chamber of Agriculture. The event, held under the motto ‘Where community takes root and the future grows’, celebrated five decades of representing women in agriculture and rural areas.

Currently, the organization is one of the largest women's groups in Lower Austria, consisting of approximately 42,000 members across 350 associations. Since its organizational foundation via the ARGE Bäuerinnen in 1976, the group has focused on professional development, interest representation, and increasing the participation of women in agricultural policy and rural community life.
