Buffalo Bills add wide receiver Dante Pettis

The Buffalo Bills signed veteran wide receiver Dante Pettis during training camp. Pettis, a 2018 second‑round pick by the San Francisco 49ers, has logged seven seasons in the NFL with stints at the 49ers, New York Giants, Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints. He recorded 92 receptions for 1,231 yards and 13 touchdowns in his career, but most of his recent contributions have been on special teams, returning punts and kicks for the Saints.

In the same transaction, the Bills waived wide receiver Jalen Virgil after he failed a physical. The move adds depth to Buffalo’s receiver group, which already includes DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer and rookie Skyler Bell as the team finalizes its 53‑man roster for the upcoming season.
