Buffalo Bills defensive tackle T. J. Sanders sidelined by appendectomy

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle T. J. Sanders is expected to be sidelined indefinitely following an appendectomy. Head coach Joe Brady confirmed the news on Wednesday, noting that Sanders had previously been listed on the injury report with an unspecified illness.

This medical issue marks the second major setback for the second-year player this season, as he previously missed time due to a knee injury. Sanders, a former second-round pick, had not yet played a game this season.

In response to the roster vacancy, the Bills have signed a veteran defensive tackle to their practice squad to bolster the defensive line ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
