Buffalo Bills evaluate pass rushers during bye week

Buffalo Bills NFL edge rushers bye week pass rush

The Buffalo Bills are utilizing their Week 7 bye week to address defensive weaknesses by evaluating potential roster additions. According to NFL transaction logs, the team hosted three edge rushers for tryouts: Jose Ramirez, Cam Sample, and Jamie Sheriff.

Ramirez, a former sixth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, most recently appeared in two games for the New England Patriots. Sample has previously played for the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, and Atlanta Falcons. Sheriff is a Super Bowl champion, having won a title with the Seattle Seahawks last year.

The Bills currently hold a 5-1 record and lead the AFC East following a 33-30 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The team is looking to bolster its pass rush ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
