Buffalo Bills settle key roster battles for guard and edge rusher
The Buffalo Bills are finalizing several key roster decisions ahead of the upcoming season. In the offensive line, Anderson has reportedly won the competition for the starting left guard position. Anderson, who has been with the team since 2022 after going undrafted out of UCLA, beat out veteran Austin Corbett for the role. Anderson recently signed a one-year contract extension worth $2.5 million.
Additionally, a competition is underway for the edge rusher position. Reports suggest that 2024 fifth-round draft pick Javon Solomon is favored to win the final roster spot over two-time Super Bowl champion Mike Danna. Danna, who previously played his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs, signed a one-year deal with Buffalo to provide pass-rushing depth, but may face a cut if Solomon secures the position.
