Buffalo Bills sign veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson to practice squad
The Buffalo Bills have signed veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson to their practice squad. Thompson, a 32-year-old with 11 seasons of NFL experience, returns to Buffalo after spending the 2025 season with the team.
Thompson, who spent his first 10 seasons with the Carolina Panthers, provides depth for a defense transitioning to a 3-4 system under new coordinator Jim Leonhard. He has recorded 118 career starts and appeared in 12 games for Buffalo last season.
Thompson is one of 17 players signed to the Bills' practice squad on Monday. Other additions include receiver Greg Dortch, while safety Geno Stone and quarterback Shane Buechele joined the squad after being released by the team.
