Buffalo Bills to open 2026 season against Houston Texans

The Buffalo Bills are set to begin their 2026 NFL season this Sunday against the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium. The matchup features two teams that both finished with 12-5 records last season and reached the AFC Divisional Round.

Buffalo enters the season with a new coaching staff led by first-year head coach Joe Brady. Much of the focus remains on quarterback Josh Allen, who has historically struggled against Houston, holding a 1-4 record against the Texans. While the Bills boast a high-powered offense, the Texans feature a defense that allowed only 295 points last year.

Beyond the matchup, the season opener may mark the final time certain players appear for the Bills. Linebacker Dorian Williams is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and defensive back Damar Hamlin is also noted as a potential player facing a final season with the franchise.
