Buffalo Sabres adjust lineup and goaltending after loss to Dallas

Following a 4-0 loss to the Dallas Stars, the Buffalo Sabres are implementing lineup changes for their upcoming game against the Utah Mammoth. Head coach Lindy Ruff has decided to scratch young forwards Konsta Helenius and Jiri Kulich, opting instead to insert Sam Carrick and Tyson Kozak. Ruff emphasized the need for a higher level of competition and consistency from his younger players.

In goal, Colten Ellis is expected to start following a period of struggle for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. Luukkonen has allowed three or more goals in each of his first three starts this season, resulting in a 4.02 goals-against average and a .782 save percentage. The team is looking for more stability in the crease as they attempt to improve their defensive performance.
