Boston Bruins hire former Sabres GM Kevyn Adams in front-office overhaul

The Boston Bruins announced a major restructuring of their hockey operations department. Former Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams was hired as a senior advisor to GM Don Sweeney. The team also promoted Dennis Bonvie to assistant general manager of player personnel, Jeremy Rogalski to assistant general manager of analytics and strategy, and appointed Alex Gimenez as director of hockey operations, overseeing contract negotiations, salary‑cap management and CBA compliance. Assistant general manager and Providence GM Evan Gold will depart on August 1 to pursue other NHL opportunities.

In a press release, Sweeney said, "I'm confident Kevyn, Dennis, Jeremy and Alex will each play an important role as we continue to improve our team both this upcoming season and beyond." Adams, who led the Sabres from 2020‑25, takes his first NHL role since being dismissed by Buffalo. The changes aim to modernize scouting, analytics and administrative processes as the Bruins prepare for the 2026‑27 campaign.
