Buffalo Sabres see surge in fan trust under GM Jarmo Kekäläinen
The Buffalo Sabres have seen a significant increase in organizational trust following the appointment of Jarmo Kekäläinen as General Manager last December. According to data from The Athletic, the team has jumped from 32nd to 10th place in a ranking of NHL teams based on leadership confidence among fans and followers.
Approximately 96 percent of Sabres fans reported an increase in their trust toward the management compared to the previous year. This shift follows a successful season where the team won its division and reached the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2011. While some fans expressed concern over the departure of players Alex Tuch and Bowen Byram, many view Kekäläinen’s strategic moves and player acquisitions as necessary steps toward building a long-term Stanley Cup contender.
