Buffalo Sabres sell out 2026-27 season tickets after playoff return

This surge in demand follows the team's successful return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which ended a 14-season playoff drought. Although the Sabres' postseason run concluded with a Game 7 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, the momentum has led the organization to implement a waitlist for fans interested in future season-ticket memberships.

Goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, a long-time member of the organization, expressed optimism regarding the team's direction following recent management changes. Luukkonen noted that while the franchise faced years of frustration and being ‘stuck in the mud,’ the recent success provides a new foundation for the team.

The Sabres are scheduled to open their 2026-27 campaign on October 1 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, with their home season opener at KeyBank Center set for October 3 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
