Buffalo State and Brockport prepare for seasonal athletic matchups

The Buffalo State Bengals are set to begin a new era under Head Coach Mike Neale in the annual I-90 Bowl against the Brockport Golden Eagles on September 3, 2026. The matchup follows a period of dominance by Brockport, who holds a 26-17 all-time record against Buffalo State and has won the last nine meetings, including a 41-0 victory in 2025.

In regional high school athletics, the Section V boys' soccer season commences on August 31. The Monroe County Division III preview features several programs, including the Brockport Blue Devils, who enter the season following an 11-7-1 record and a loss in the AA semifinals. Other competing teams include Greece Arcadia, Greece Athena, Eastridge, and Canandaigua.
