Buffalo to release Wi-Fi 7 enterprise access points

Buffalo is launching new enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 7 tri-band wireless LAN access points, specifically the WAPM-BETR and the WAPM-BETRA. These models are scheduled for sequential release starting in late October.

The WAPM-BETR supports up to 1,536 simultaneous connections across three frequency bands (6GHz, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz). The 6GHz band offers a theoretical maximum speed of 11,529 Mbps. The hardware includes a 10GbE port and a 2.5GbE port.

The WAPM-BETRA is a specialized model designed for low-temperature environments, such as factories or warehouses, with an operating temperature range of -25 to 50 degrees Celsius. The standard WAPM-BETR operates between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius.

Both models feature Wi-Fi 7 capabilities including Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and 320MHz bandwidth on the 6GHz band. They also support Buffalo’s ‘Kiki Navi’ remote management service, including a ‘Cloud Zero Touch’ version for automated mass deployment. The WAPM-BETR is priced at 187,000 yen, while the WAPM-BETRA is priced at 209,000 yen.
