Buganda Kingdom promotes hygiene as Kayonza investigates domestic homicide

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga emphasized the importance of household hygiene, noting that the kingdom's leadership structure helps foster responsible citizenship. The initiative aims to encourage residents to maintain healthy environments through personal responsibility and community cooperation.

In a separate incident in Kayonza, authorities are investigating a domestic tragedy where a man, Rudasingwa Jean Damascène, is suspected of killing his wife, Ayinkamiye Béatrice. Local officials report that the man attempted to take his own life using poison following the incident but survived. The couple reportedly had ongoing business disputes, and the suspect has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
