Bugatti celebrates final W16 era with museum exhibit and exclusive Mistral Blanc Éternel

The Louwman Museum in The Hague is hosting a special exhibition of Bugatti’s iconic W16 engine collection. Presenters explore the 8‑liter, four‑turbo power unit developed by Ferdinand Piëch during Volkswagen’s ownership, its 1,200 hp test‑bench output and its use in the Veyron and Chiron models that set speed records. The exhibit, which runs until 30 August, highlights the engineering legacy and the limited‑run roadsters that concluded the W16 era.

Separately, Bugatti unveiled the one‑off W16 Mistral Blanc Éternel, a white roadster created under the Sur Mesure program in collaboration with Berlin’s KPM porcelain manufactory. The car blends digital surface design with hand‑painted black lines, featuring porcelain‑finished badges and interior elements. It serves as a symbolic farewell to the legendary W16 powertrain, combining historic performance with artisanal craftsmanship.
