Bugatti sells all 250 Tourbillon hypercars before production begins

All 250 units of the Bugatti Tourbillon have been sold before the start of production. The hypercar, which serves as the successor to the Chiron, carries a starting price of 3.8 million euros excluding tax.

Under the leadership of Mate Rimac, who took full control of Bugatti Rimac following Porsche's exit, the company is expanding its technical capabilities. A new production facility, ‘La Manufacture’, has opened in Molsheim to handle complex production phases, aiming to increase capacity to approximately 200 vehicles per year.

The Tourbillon features an 8.3-liter V16 atmospheric engine producing 1,000 horsepower, complemented by three electric motors that add another 800 horsepower, totaling 1,800 horsepower. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in two seconds, with a top speed of 445 km/h when using a special key. The interior utilizes an analog instrument cluster developed with Swiss watchmaking expertise, featuring over 600 components made of titanium, sapphire, and rubies.

The broader ultra-luxury automotive market is seeing significant growth driven by electrification and an increase in ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Brands in this tier are defined by extreme rarity, often producing fewer than 100 units per model, and high levels of bespoke customization.
