Bugatti unveils Destrier, a unique 1,600 cv luxury hypercar

Bugatti has unveiled the Destrier, a unique, one-of-one luxury hypercar developed under the brand’s Programme Solitaire. Built upon the technical foundation of the track-only Bolide, the Destrier utilizes the same carbon fiber monocoque and 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, which produces 1,600 PS (approximately 1,578 bhp).

While sharing its powertrain with the Bolide, the Destrier features a redesigned body focused on grand touring aesthetics rather than pure track performance. The design replaces aggressive aerodynamic elements like large wings and vents with a cleaner silhouette, including the signature horseshoe-shaped grille and the Bugatti C-line. The vehicle stands approximately 1 meter tall, making it the lowest silhouette in the company’s history. It features 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels and is finished in a deep blue shade called Sapphire Celeste.

The Destrier is scheduled for its public debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California.
