Bui Thi Dieu My arrested for 28 billion VND agricultural fraud

Quang Ngai Provincial Police have arrested Bui Thi Dieu My, born in 1989, for investigation into the fraudulent misappropriation of assets. Authorities issued a decision to prosecute, a detention warrant, and a search warrant for her residence.

According to investigative documents, My allegedly used deceptive information regarding high-profit agricultural business ventures to solicit capital to cover personal debts and expenses. She reportedly built trust with victims by initially making timely principal and interest payments before ultimately misappropriating more than 28 billion VND from multiple individuals.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to consolidate the case file for legal proceedings. Authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant against investment opportunities promising unusually high returns without transparent legal foundations.
