Hải Phòng waste management executives prosecuted for pollution and tax evasion

The Supreme People’s Procuracy has indicted Bùi Văn Bình, Director of Tân Thuận Phong Co., Ltd., along with several associates, for environmental pollution and serious violations of accounting regulations in Hải Phòng.

According to the indictment, Bình allegedly directed the creation of two separate accounting systems to hide over 410 billion VND in scrap metal revenue, resulting in a tax loss of more than 12 billion VND. Additionally, the company is accused of illegally transferring approximately 985 tons of “burnt sand” waste for landfilling and site leveling instead of proper processing.

Other indicted individuals include Bình’s son, Bùi Đức Huy, and executives from Đông Dương 3 and Hồng Vận companies for environmental pollution. Accounting staff from Tân Thuận Phong, including the Deputy Head of Accounting and the cashier, also face charges for accounting violations.
