Building Resilience 2026 campaign holds training in Pikine-Guédiawaye

A three-day training session has concluded in Pikine-Guédiawaye as part of the ‘Building Resilience 2026’ campaign. The initiative focuses on strengthening the capacity of school-based actors to address health and protection challenges facing young people.

Participants, including students, teachers, and supervisory staff, received training on youth health in school environments, the prevention of early pregnancies, keeping girls in school, and promoting responsible behavior. At the end of the session, 20 participants were designated as ambassadors to relay prevention messages within their schools and communities.

The campaign is an initiative of the Organisation des Premières Dames d’Afrique pour le Développement (OPDAD) and was officially launched in Senegal on February 4, 2026. Under the theme ‘Strengthening the resilience of women and girls: climate, conflicts and a sustainable future,’ the program aims to promote collective responses to vulnerabilities linked to climate crises.
