Bukayo Saka faces potential eight-week injury layoff
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka may be sidelined for six to eight weeks following an injury sustained during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old was forced off the pitch just ten minutes into the game after experiencing significant discomfort in his left thigh.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta noted that fluid accumulation in the affected area has complicated the initial assessment. Further MRI scans and specialist opinions are required to determine the exact nature and severity of the injury. Arteta indicated that a definitive assessment may not be possible for another week or ten days.
If the projected recovery timeline holds, Saka could miss up to 13 matches, potentially remaining out until after Christmas. Significant fixtures at risk include Premier League matches against Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United.
