June 2026 Survey Ranks Latin American Presidents' Popularity

A CB Global Data poll of 40,517 adults in 18 Latin American countries, conducted 2‑7 June 2026, ranked presidents by citizen approval. Nayib Bukele of El Salvador led with 69.1 % positive rating, followed by Mexico’s Claudia Sheinbaum at 65.5 % and Costa Rica’s Laura Fernández at 56.1 %. Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic placed fourth with 54.8 % and Paraguay’s Santiago Peña fifth with 48.3 %. Brazil’s Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva scored 47.6 %, while Peru’s interim president José María Balcázar ranked last with 18.2 % positive perception. Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez recorded the largest gain, rising 5.4 percentage points to 29.5 % approval. The survey also listed mid‑range scores for leaders in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay and others, highlighting the varied public sentiment across the region. The poll’s margin of error ranged from ±1.9 % to ±2.2 % and reflects shifting political fortunes ahead of upcoming elections in several countries.
