Bukovanský domeček: Modern vacation home in Bukovany
The Bukovanský domeček is a modern vacation home located in the Czech village of Bukovany, situated near historic wine cellars. Designed by Václav Navrátil, Jan Sedláček, and the SENAA team, the project integrates into the historical context of the Vinařská street area.
Occupying a small 180-square-meter plot, the structure maintains a footprint similar to the original building. The interior features a central spiral staircase made of pigmented concrete, designed to act as a light object through the use of glass elements and skylights. The ground floor contains a dining area, living space, and a sauna, while the upper floor houses two bedrooms and a toilet. The design incorporates repurposed wooden beams salvaged from a demolished building in Prague's Karlín district to blend traditional forms with contemporary details.
