Buky Wibawa elected as PSSI West Java Chairman

Buky Wibawa Karya Guna has been elected as the Chairman of PSSI West Java for the 2026–2030 period through an acclamation mechanism. Following his election, Buky identified several key priorities, including youth development, improving coach quality, and upgrading football infrastructure across the province.

Buky emphasized the need for synergy between the central PSSI, local governments, clubs, and other stakeholders to strengthen West Java’s role as a talent supplier for national football. He plans to expand coaching programs, noting that while 2,500 coaches have received D-license training, more are needed to serve the region's large population. Additionally, he aims to increase competitions ranging from youth levels to village, student, and university leagues.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan expressed full support for the new leadership, pledging collaboration between the city government and PSSI West Java to ensure sustainable talent development. PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir also highlighted the importance of unity among all stakeholders to advance Indonesian football.
