Bulatović and Fabris announce retirements from national sports teams
Montenegrin football captain Slađana Bulatović is set to play her final match this Friday, marking the end of a career that began 14 years ago. Bulatović, who has represented Montenegro 94 times, expressed that her decision to retire at age 32 was made on her own terms to ensure she leaves while healthy, rather than being forced out by injury.
In volleyball, Croatian player Samanta Fabris has also retired from the national team after 17 years. In a recent interview, Fabris discussed the current state of Croatian volleyball, noting that the country struggles to replicate past successes. She attributed much of the regional success to the influence and continuity of Serbian coaches and the resulting popularity of the sport among youth in Serbia.
