Buldan craftsman recreates historic emblem using 152-year-old machine

Master craftsman Kenan Namlı has used a 152-year-old süzene machine to embroider the original emblem of the Hilal-i Ahmer Society onto traditional Buldan cloth.

One version of this historical work was gifted to Emine Erdoğan and is currently on display at the Presidential Complex. Another piece was presented to Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, the Minister of Family and Social Services, during her visit to Denizli.

Operating from his workshop in Buldan's Hamamboğazı Street, Namlı continues to use the century-old machinery to preserve local handcrafts and ensure traditional arts are passed down to future generations.
