Bulgargaz EAD granted 10-year natural gas trading license in Serbia

The Serbian Energy Agency has granted Bulgargaz EAD a license to conduct wholesale natural gas supply in Serbia for a 10-year period. The decision confirms that the Bulgarian company meets all necessary requirements to perform commercial activities within the Serbian gas market.

This move is part of Bulgargaz’s strategy to expand its presence in regional markets and increase cross-border natural gas trade opportunities across Central and South-Eastern Europe. The company already holds licenses for trading and supply in Greece, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania, and has expanded into Moldova through its subsidiary, Bulgargaz North. Bulgargaz is also a registered user of gas transmission infrastructure in Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Hungary, and Ukraine.
